Pennine Pens are supporting the anniversary of five hundred years of the Hebden Bridge by sponsoring this site.
We are inviting people to send in five hundred words about our town. At this early stage, we have just seven pages of 500 words but we hope that by the beginning of the anniversary year of 2010 we will have a collection of five hundred pieces of five hundred words.
We are looking for all types of writing - interesting, comic, emotional, whatever Hebden Bridge says to you. It might be an anecdote, a recollection, a moving moment or just your general feelings about our quirky town.
But it must be five hundred words - no more, no less.
